Feeding Therapy

Feeding challenges can be stressful—for both kids and parents. Our feeding therapy program helps children expand their food range, improve oral-motor skills, and feel more comfortable at mealtimes. Whether your child struggles with food textures, limited variety, or mealtime behavior, we use a combination of sensory, oral-motor, and behavioral techniques to support happy, healthy eating habits.

Feeding Therapy sessions may be beneficial if your child:

  • Is a selective eater

  • Limited or restricted food intake (less than 20 foods)

  • Eats different meals than your family

  • Difficulty with a variety of food textures

  • Gagging while eating

  • Frequent mealtime battles or meltdowns

  • Aversion to whole food groups

  • Is underweight or overweight

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

PCIT is an evidence-based therapy that helps strengthen the bond between parents and children while improving behavior and emotional regulation. It’s designed for children ages 2–7 and involves real-time coaching for parents to build skills that create lasting positive change.

Benefits of PCIT include:

  • Improved Behavior – Reduces tantrums, defiance, and disruptive actions.

  • Stronger Parent-Child Bond – Enhances trust, communication, and emotional closeness.

  • Better Emotional Regulation – Helps children manage big feelings in healthy ways.

  • Long-Lasting Results – Skills learned in PCIT often continue to benefit families for years.

Why it Works:
During PCIT sessions, our therapists coach parents through live feedback while they interact with their child. This hands-on approach ensures that strategies are practiced in the moment and can be applied at home right away.
